The Gathering

I went to the 26th annual Gathering of the Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association (ALDHA). This was my first time since it was located in Gettysburg this year. If you ever get the chance, go to one of these gatherings. I went to workshops presented by hikers of the Appalachian Trail, continental Divide Trail, Pacific Crest Trail and the International Appalachian Trail, just to name a few. I received great information about ultralight Backpacking and how to plan a thru-hike by some very famous trailers. What an amazing community of people! I am getting the itch to plan a thru-hike or at least long distance sectional hikes.
