1000 Steps

I was wondering if anybody knew how to make a loop hike around the top of the hill (I think it's Jack's Mountain) from the 1000 Steps near Mount Union. I was there a few weeks ago, and the link trail looked like it might loop around the top and back to the 1000 Steps, but I lost my nerve after a few miles and backtracked...
